Okaloosa County Commission on the Status of Women Wall of Honor

The Okaloosa County Commission on the Status of Women added 13 new names to its Women’s Wall of Honor on Tuesday.

The women were nominated by friends, co-workers, family members and other supporters for inclusion in the wall in recognition of their contributions to their families, churches, charitable organizations and other community endeavors.

Each woman received an official letter of congratulations from U.S. Matt Gaetz. Their names will be added to a plaque on display at the University of West Florida’s Emerald Coast campus.

The nominees include: Glenda Alford-Atkins, Gloria Battle, Peggy Brockman, Cindy Corsentino, June Gunnersen, Melissa Hoover, Carolyn Ketchel, Bettie Logan Lehr, Laura Luttrell, Kayla Muldoon, the late Billie Pryor Sloat, Lindsey Smith, and Torette Williams.
