CRESTVIEW — A vehicle crash Monday night at the interchange of South Ferdon Boulevard and Interstate 10 on Monday left one of the vehicles in flames.
When Crestview firefighters arrived at the scene at a little after 8:30 p.m., the 2014 Buick Encore driven by John Ziruolo was on fire. The other vehicle, a 1999 Ford F-150 pickup carrying two people, the driver William Herbst and his wife Teresa, had turned over in the road.
According to the Crestview Police Department’s temporary Public Information Officer Commander Andrew Schneider, the Buick was heading south on South Ferdon Boulevard when it drove through a red light and struck the Ford driven by Herbst as he was attempting to turn onto Interstate 10.
Zirulo was taken to Fort Walton Beach Medical Center. The Herbsts were taken to North Okaloosa Medical Center. All had non life-threatening injuries.
The investigation is ongoing and charges are pending until the conclusion of the investigation.
