The incident occurred just after midnight Saturday near Pullum Street.
A Niceville teenager is in serious condition after being hit by a car on U.S. Highway 98, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
FHP reported in a news release that shortly after midnight Saturday, 18-year-old Joseph Newborn was crossing U.S. 98 at the time of the incident.
As Newborn was crossing the roadway at 12:15 a.m., he was hit by a 2003 Hyundai Tiburon driven by Bilal Amin, 30, of Navarre. Amin was traveling east on U.S. 98, just east of Pullum Street.
Newborn was transported by medical helicopter to Fort Walton Beach Medical Center where he remains listed in serious condition.
Alcohol was not related to the incident, according to the FHP release, and no charges are pending.
