FORT WALTON BEACH — Members of the Air Force Sergeants Association James C. Binnicker Chapter 554 volunteered their time and waiting skills at Magnolia Grill recently to raise money for the Air Force Enlisted Village.

In addition to the funds raised to support the work of the chapter, the Sergeants Association presented more than $2,000 to the Air Force Enlisted Village “Bob Hope.” It was the third and most successful effort by the group at the Magnolia Grill, and honors the memory of their chapter namesake the 9th Chief Master Sgt. of the Air Force, Jim Binnicker, Magnolia Grill owner Tom Rice said.

The restaurant dining room paid homage to the three Italian restaurants of the communities past: Tony’s , Perris, and Luigi’s, Rice noted. Red checkered cloths and Chianti bottles decorated each table.

“In addition to the bottle of Coke, and plastic monkey Maraschino cherry holders, we gave a sincere salute to Vic Perri by our servers wearing the tall white Chef Toque he was rarely seen without,” Rice said.
