WHAT: A a six-unit apartment complex at 10 Nicholson St., in Fort Walton Beach for homeless male veterans.

INFO: The project is being spearheaded by the Rev. Cecil Williams of Gregg Chapel AME Church and the non-profit Third Chance Inc. House of Valor is part of the Lazarus Project, which involves community partners proving clothing, counseling and job opportunities to the men who will be living there. Residents will be chosen by the nonprofit 90Works. They pay monthly rent of bout $500 through veterans vouchers. The Veterans’ Court Program, Career Source, Homelessness & Housing Alliance and Bridgeway Center Inc. also partnered with the Rev. Williams.
