MIRAMAR BEACH — Silver Sands Premium Outlets is expanding yet again, following the announcement of its fifth recent store — Old Navy Outlet.
Katie Johnson, director of marketing and business development for Silver Sands, toured the 12,000-square-foot future Old Navy store on Thursday. Johnson said Old Navy, set to open this fall, will be a great fit for the Silver Sands because it caters to the entire family.
“Having Old Navy coming here this fall is really exciting news,” Johnson said. “It’s a great store and a one-stop-shop for families.”
The Old Navy announcement follows the openings of four other stores: Greg Norman, Pepper Palace, Sea & Sand Jewelry and Francesca’s.
Greg Norman, which opened in June, offers golf-inspired apparel and accessories, according to Johnson. Francesca’s sells women’s clothing, accessories and gifts, and Sea & Sand Jewelry stocks handmade bling.
“Pepper Palace has a variety of condiments and different hot sauces,” she added. “They actually make all of their own products. They’ve been doing great here. They’re down by Columbia Sportswear so people who love the outdoors always stop there and get things for grilling.”
Silver Sands was packed with tourists Thursday as Johnson continued her tour of the new storefronts. Rosalind Cheek from Arkansas, who was shopping in Francesca’s, said she enjoys everything the outlets have to offer.
“You can definitely say we enjoyed shopping here,” Cheek said as she raised her hand holding with about six shopping bags.
Although no other leases besides Old Navy have been announced, Johnson said Silver Sands’ leasing team continues to work to bring even more retailers to the complex.
